By working closely with local agencies and other women’s business support organisations, WiE can signpost to a range of providers including training, finance, legal and networking opportunities and assist women identify and overcome barriers to their personal or business development. Contact Laura Morrison Tel 01904 629513 Email laura.morrison@ynycc.com Web www.ynyccsupport.com Advancing Women in South Yorkshire A partnership led by Beta Technology and funded through the Learning and Skills Council and The European Social Fund through Objective 1 to support women and increase their representation in three key areas within the region : Women in Self-Employment - Encouraging women to enter or enhance their skills in self-employment and entrepreneurship Women in Management Roles - Encouraging women to aspire to management roles, and working with employers to enhance the opportunities for progression routes into management. Women as Leaders in Public Life - Encouraging women to aspire to represent their community in public life (in a voluntary, unpaid capacity). Working in public bodies and the Voluntary/Community sector to enhance opportunities for women’s participation. Additionally, a work-life balance aspect has been included in the programme to complement the other activities. We deliver services on behalf of Business Link West Yorkshire and have a network of offices across the Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield areas, providing a range of free or subsidised services including: business advice and guidance and training and development support. The Agency is commited to providing support for women in business and runs a bi-monthly networking event just for women.
